Our Church

Our congregation is a member of the Missouri Synod of the Lutheran Church, a body of some 6,000 congregations worldwide.

We believe and confess:

	Grace Alone: God saves people by the undeserved love and mercy He freely bestows.
	Faith Alone: We receive God's gifts by trusting in Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins. Good Works contribute nothing to our rescue, but are the necessary fruits of faith.
	Scripture Alone: We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the only true and reliable guide for faith and life.

We also believe, teach and confess that Jesus Christ was true God and true man who came to reconcile the lost to God, doing so through the sacrifice of His body and blood.

WORSHIP

We gather to worship each Sunday morning at 9:00 AM. Special services are held during the Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter seasons.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Sunday School is conducted at 10:30 AM each Sunday Morning following the fellowship time immediately after the worship service. We offer classes for both children and adults. We also offer Vacation Bible School for one week during the summer shortly after the end of the public school year.

We gather for Bible Studies twice a week. A ladies group meets on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM. An open group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM.

A Wednesday afternoon school program is available for children through grade 5. We pick up the children at the local elementary school and release them at 5:00 PM. During this time we feed them a snack, offer Biblical instruction and physical/musical activities.

Confirmation classes for 5th through 8th grades are held weekly during the public school year. The 5th and 6th graders focus on Biblical literacy. The 7th and 8th grade students review the doctrine of the Church, concluding with a brief study of the differences in the beliefs of various religious bodies.

Adult instruction in the doctrines of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod are offered on an as needed basis. This class is conducted as an informal discussion.

FELLOWSHIP AND SERVICE

Fellowship and service opportunities abound at Our Savior's. There is an active Lutheran Women's Missionary League organization group called the "Ruth Guild". We offer fellowship via our tone chime choir, youth groups and frequent pot-luck meals. We are also active in the community via service projects.
